Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) is a modern therapeutic approach that combines elements of psychology, neuroscience and hypnosis. It focuses on achieving goals and creating positive change rather than analysing problems from the past.
SFH does not focus on analysing past problems. Instead, it helps you identify practical solutions, develop your inner resources and build emotional resilience.
During the therapeutic process, you’ll also learn more about how the mind works and why a positive mindset and regular work with the mind can support lasting change. Sessions combine therapeutic conversation with a pleasant state of deep relaxation (hypnosis), helping to reinforce new, beneficial patterns of thinking and behaviour.
-
Hypnotherapy can be an effective form of support for a range of concerns, including:
chronic stress
insomnia and sleep problems
anxiety and excessive worrying
panic attacks
low self-esteem
lack of self-confidence
burnout
phobias
IBS
preparing for exams or public speaking
stopping smoking
changing unhelpful habits
improving emotional resilience and quality of life

A standard session lasts approximately 55 minutes.
The session begins with a short conversation about your progress and the positive changes you have noticed since your previous session. We then move on to the therapeutic part of the session, followed by hypnosis — a state of deep relaxation guided by the therapist’s voice.
Throughout the entire session, you remain fully aware and in control.
-
Hypnosis, also known as trance, is a natural state of deep relaxation and focused attention that we all experience in everyday life — for example, while reading a book, watching a film or driving along a familiar route. It is not sleep or a loss of awareness, but a state in which the mind becomes more relaxed and open to positive change.
Everyone experiences hypnosis slightly differently. Most commonly, people experience a sense of calm, quietness and deep relaxation. Some notice a pleasant heaviness in the body, while others experience lightness or a sense of their thoughts flowing freely. After a session, many people feel more relaxed, calmer and experience greater clarity of thought.
-
Hypnosis used in therapy is completely safe. Throughout the session, you remain fully aware and in control. You can hear my voice, speak, open your eyes, change position or end the session at any time.
You cannot be made to say or do anything against your will. Hypnotherapy is based on collaboration, mutual trust and a sense of safety. My aim is to create a calm, comfortable environment where you can relax at your own pace and focus on achieving lasting, positive change.
If you have any questions or concerns before starting therapy, I will be happy to answer them.

Yes. Research and the experience of many therapists show that online hypnotherapy can be just as effective as in-person sessions.
What matters most is that you feel safe, comfortable and able to focus on the therapeutic process. For many people, being in their own home helps them feel more at ease, making it easier to enter a state of deep relaxation.
To take part in an online session, you will simply need:
a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed,
a stable internet connection,
a comfortable chair or sofa,
a computer, tablet or phone with a camera and microphone.
Online sessions follow the same structure as in-person sessions, combining therapeutic conversation with guided hypnosis.
Before your first session, you will receive all the information you need, so you know how to prepare and what to expect.
-
Before your session, it is a good idea to:
wear comfortable clothing,
put your phone on silent,
find a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed,
avoid alcohol or other intoxicating substances before the session,
arrive on time.
-
This depends on your individual situation and the goal of therapy.
Some people notice improvements after just a few sessions. However, to support lasting change, a course of around 8–12 sessions is usually recommended.
We will discuss the expected number of sessions together during your initial consultation.
-
Initial consultation – £60
Hypnotherapy session – £60
10-session package – £500

Please let me know at least 48 hours in advance if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment.
Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled time, or missed appointments, may be charged at the full session fee.
Please also arrive on time, as arriving late may reduce the length of your session.
